Experience Level: The job position requires candidates with 5 to 8 years of experience.
Education Qualification: Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree.
Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in Big Data Development using the Hadoop Ecosystem, including Pig, Hive, and other Cloudera tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to a Big Data environment.
- Experience working with large-scale distributed applications.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Flume, Kafka, HBase, and/or Map/Reduce.
- Hands-on experience with related or complementary open-source software platforms and languages, such as Java, Linux, Apache, Perl/Python/PHP, Chef, and Puppet.
- Familiarity with agile/scrum methodologies to facilitate quick iteration on product changes, develop user stories, and manage a backlog.
- Preference for experience with Cloudera Hadoop distribution components and custom packages.
- Banking experience is preferred.
- Excellent planning, organization, communication, and thought leadership skills.
- Ability to coordinate with the team for project deliverables, and lead and document project status meetings.
- Highly organized with good time management skills and a customer service orientation.
Must-Have Skills:
- Proficiency in Big Data technologies including Cloudera Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Flume, Kafka, and/or MapReduce.
- Familiarity with Big Data tools such as Hive, Spark, Impala, and MapReduce, as well as databases like HBase and Pig.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end data warehousing systems, from data modeling to reporting.
- Extensive hands-on experience with data and Informatica.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language.
- Solid experience in writing SQL queries.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Java, Linux, Apache, Perl/Python/PHP, Chef, Puppet
- Good understanding of BI/DW Concepts
