Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and robust Java applications to fulfill business requirements and user needs. This involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, QA engineers, and fellow developers, ensuring smooth integration across all stages of the application lifecycle. Participate actively in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Continuously identify areas for optimization, automation, and innovation to enhance overall efficiency.
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and tools relevant to Java development, sharing insights with colleagues and implementing them into projects when appropriate. Mentor junior developers, providing guidance, training, and knowledge transfer to support their professional growth. Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes and improve operational efficiency. In the event of production issues, troubleshoot alongside support staff to resolve problems promptly and effectively.
Document technical specifications, design decisions, and implementation details throughout the project lifecycle. Communicate progress updates, risks, and challenges clearly and succinctly to stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Basic Qualifications:
- 4 to 8 years of demonstrated experience in designing and developing enterprise-level software, as well as testing and supporting software applications.
- Essential experience working with ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Proficiency in Java is crucial.
- Experience with system design, software-defined infrastructure, and microservices.
- Familiarity with relational databases, schema design, and SQL.
- Experience in a DevOps model is required.
- Full-stack product development experience.
- Experience working with Linux.
- Proven skills in application development with web or enterprise-scale software.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate across teams, and critical thinking.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications – One or more of the following areas:
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Knowledge of database implementations, including query optimization, index generation, caching, or familiarity with NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency in distributed source control systems like Git (GitLab, GitHub) and building CI/CD pipelines (workflows) using them.
- Familiarity with test-driven development and frameworks like JUnit.
- Experience or good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes-based deployment.
- Experience or good knowledge of distributed system design.
