Responsibilities:
- Meeting all contractual metrics such as SLAs, project work, reporting, etc.
- Providing leadership in end-user and infrastructure management proficiency.
- Managing daily work, issues, and resolutions while acting as a point of escalation and resolution.
- Configuring firewalls to maximize network efficiency and security.
- Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Providing critical thinking to sophisticated problems in a 24/7, critical network environment.
- Processing, monitoring, and prioritizing trouble tickets.
- Automating tasks that should be automated.
- Providing support and administration of customer firewalls and security appliances.
- Arranging scheduled upgrades and investigating faults in the network.
- Reporting network status to key stakeholders and troubleshooting network problems.
- Conducting IP address auditing and establishing networking environment by designing system configuration and directing system installation.
- Defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
- Maximizing performance by troubleshooting network problems and outages and scheduling upgrades.
Minimum Qualifications / Skills:
- Network fundamentals – TCP / IP
- Experience in supporting Juniper SRX, Palo Alto, FortiGate, and ASA
- Knowledge of ITIL procedures
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in IS, Computer Science, MIS Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Relevant years of experience as a Major/Critical Incident Manager.
- Knowledge of Network/Servers/Telephony/Cloud.
- ITIL Trained, Tested, and Certified (ITIL Foundation Certified).
- Working Experience with Service Now (Ticketing tool).
- Excellent English communication skills (written and oral), with experience interacting with all levels of management both within Company and Customer organizations.
- Excellent knowledge, experience, and excellence within the specific area of Major Incident Management.
- Proficiency with Wireshark for packet capture and analysis.
