Facilitate data access and ensure security measures are in place to enable seamless data accessibility for data scientists and analysts as per their requirements.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
Developed PySpark code for AWS Glue jobs and EMR, focusing on scalability and distributed data processing within the Hadoop ecosystem on AWS EMR and MapR distribution.
Created Python and PySpark programs for data analysis, leveraging Python to develop a custom framework for rule generation similar to a rules engine.
Implemented Hadoop streaming jobs using Python to integrate Python API-supported applications.
Utilized Python code to extract data from HBase, designing solutions implemented using PySpark, with Apache Spark DataFrames/RDDs for business transformations. Leveraged Hive Context objects for read/write operations.
Rewrote certain Hive queries into Spark SQL to optimize batch processing time.
