Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Testing all aspects of the product/system, covering function/component, system, performance, regression, and usability.
- Collaborating with the development team to identify and document test cases, ensuring proper version management.
- Setting up test environments, devising test plans, creating test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing them.
- Providing feedback on usability and serviceability, identifying quality risks, and reporting them to the relevant stakeholders in development.
- Contributing to the creation, enhancement, execution, and maintenance of the test automation suite (both UI and backend) using industry-standard automation tools and technologies.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
- 2-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing/automation.
- Proficiency in working on both Windows and Unix systems.
- Experience working as part of an agile development team and familiarity with quality assurance processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills, self-driven with excellent attention to detail, and a dedication to ensuring quality.
- Ability to manage workload effectively to meet specific deadlines aligned with business priorities.
- Experience with automated testing techniques.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: Java/JavaScript, SQL, Bash/Shell Scripting, Python, Groovy, Geb, Spock, Selenium, and Cypress.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and exercise independent judgment within defined guidelines and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:
- Experience with workflow and collaboration tools like Atlassian Jira.
- Familiarity with code management tools such as Git, Github, and Gitlab.
- Proficiency in Docker technologies.
- Knowledge of cloud computing services such as AWS, Azure, and GCP would be advantageous.
- Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins.
