Responsibilities:
Collaborate with our partners to develop secure and robust computing platforms.
Demonstrate ownership of issues and offer technical leadership to deliver practical solutions.
Address and resolve intricate problems through troubleshooting.
Design and construct the infrastructure and configuration of computing platforms, emphasizing automation and infrastructure as code.
Qualifications:
Advanced understanding of Linux system internals, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions 6 through 8, encompassing utilities such as yum, rpm, LVM, SELinux, and kickstart.
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code orchestration and automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Chef.
Expertise in Python and Playbook, with a track record of creating automated solutions for Server OS maintenance, upgrades, and builds.
Familiarity with modern software development lifecycle processes and CI/CD pipelines, notably Jenkins, within a DevOps framework.
Intermediate grasp of vulnerability threat management best practices.
Knowledge of identity management and access control systems, including LDAP, Kerberos, AD, SSH, sudo, PowerBroker, and PAM.
Intermediate understanding of containers and container orchestration platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, and Openshift.
Familiarity with virtualization and hypervisors, specifically VMWare.
Understanding of logging and performance monitoring tools such as Splunk, Datadog, AppDynamics, ELK, Grafana, and Prometheus.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
Proficiency in GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, and modern development workflows.
Experience in developing applications on major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
