Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with senior developers to design and develop Database Cloud features, with a focus on security aspects.
Contribute to projects aimed at delivering secure, scalable, and extensible Platform-as-a-Service solutions on the Cloud.
Engage with development and operations teams to review and resolve security issues promptly.
Conduct root cause analysis of security-related issues on the Database Cloud platform.
Participate in security issue review and remediation efforts alongside development and operations teams.
Provide support for tools developed by the team and demonstrate expertise in software development and automation.
Implement unit testing and debugging practices rigorously, while adhering to security best practices.
Contribute to the design and implementation of enhancements, and functional requirements, and suggest improvements.
Oversee testing and bug fixes for software developed within the team.
Prepare comprehensive design documents for software development features.
Experience:
- 5+ years of development experience with a focus on Python development.
- Strong proficiency in Python frameworks, SDKs, JQL, REST APIs, and libraries.
- Preferably 3+ years of experience specifically in Python development.
- Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, and the AngularJS framework would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with cloud deployments and virtual environments.
- Understanding of databases and SQL, including database management knowledge and comprehension of the database ecosystem.
- Knowledge in security areas would be a plus, including experience in writing secure code and addressing issues identified by static/dynamic tools.
- Expertise in RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), User, Group, and Password Management, Cloud SSO (Single Sign-On), Strong Authentication, Identity Provisioning, Identity Governance, Privileged Access, and Identity services.
- Proficiency in encryption and key management technologies, as well as deployment methodologies.
- Understanding of cloud security vulnerabilities and preventive measures.
- Experience with security tools such as Fortify, Coverity, Nessus, Qualys, Black Duck, and dependency checker tools.
- Experience with cloud IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) or PaaS (Platform as a Service) development, including working with REST APIs.
- Proficiency in programming with Java, Python, or PERL.
