Experience Level: The ideal candidate should have 4 to 8 years of experience.
Education Qualification: A Bachelor of Engineering degree is required for this position.
Must-Have:
- Hands-on experience in administering network devices such as routers, switches, wireless controllers, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Security knowledge, particularly in Firewall technologies including Cisco ASA, Fortinet, and Palo Alto, as well as NAC (Network Access Control) with ISE.
- Proficiency in managing F5 Load Balancers (LTM / GTM).
- Deep understanding and practical experience with Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches.
- Hands-on experience in Cisco Wireless Technologies.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco ISR and ASR routers, including dynamic routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and IS-IS.
- Strong understanding of IP addressing, MPLS routing, and Internet Technologies.
- Advanced proficiency in technologies such as VPN, VXLAN, VRRP, HSRP, STP, Portchannel, NetFlow, and stacking technologies.
- Flexibility to adapt to project requirements and deliverables.
- Experience with SolarWinds NPM, NCM, IPAM, and Syslog.
- Proficiency in using ITSM ticketing tools and a strong understanding of ITIL processes.
These qualifications and experiences are necessary for the Network Security position at TCS Pune in 2024.
Good-to-Have:
- Exposure to Agile methodology and familiarity with the ITIL framework.
- Good knowledge and understanding of SDN (Software-Defined Networking), particularly Cisco DNAC / SDA.
- Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies, with preference given to experience with Palo Alto Prisma.
- Strong documentation skills, including experience in network architecture drawing using tools like Microsoft Visio to prepare and update diagrams.
These additional skills further enhance the candidate’s ability to contribute effectively to network security projects at TCS Pune.
